Every one of my Private Practice Success community members has a dream.

A dream of building their very own ultimate private practice. A private practice that will help them live their life’s purpose, help them help more people in better ways and ultimately leave a legacy for their family.

So, when they start their very own private practice – just like I did and just like you did – then they are starting their own hero’s journey. A journey, which by its nature, is one of challenge, struggle and pain.

And once the hero answers the call to adventure, stepping over the threshold by starting his/her own private practice, it is the start of an adventure comparable to climbing the most beautiful mountain.

From the bottom, the mountain looks green with forest and vegetation, inviting even the most inexperienced of climbers to explore its slopes. The snow-covered peaks exude the illusion of unrivalled and soul enticing beauty.

Similarly, private practice comes across as easy, flexible and lucrative, when in reality it requires the agony of the climb before revealing the sights of ease, flow and freedom.

In reality, the climb is both emotionally scary and physically painful. It requires a significant amount of endurance, perseverance and persistence amidst the constant storms surrounding you, with only the most prepared and mentally tough climbers making it to the top – making it to the point of elevation where the world is revealed. The place where you are finally able to stop. To look up. To appreciate the vistas. To acknowledge the adventures had. To appreciate the effort invested. To reflect on the transformation and victory. To be presented with choice and freedom. To reset a new vision of elevation, if desired.

The hero’s journey is a challenging one and although most hero’s take on their adventure on their own, it is my personal mission to break the isolation mold of the private practice hero –and yes, you’ve guessed it.

You are on a climbing adventure. You might feel like you are just hanging on by a thread. Like your foot is about to slip your hand, already covered in blisters, is slowly losing its grip.…
